Nestled in the incomparable beauty of the Upper Engadine lies the village of Sils-Maria – a place rich in natural charm as well as diverse leisure and cultural offerings. At the same time, it marks the starting point for one of the most beautiful side valleys of the Engadine: the largely car-free Val Fex.
Since 1954, Val Fex has been a protected natural area. Limited traffic, almost no new construction and traditional horse-drawn carriages continue to shape the valley’s tranquil and unspoiled character. On a sunny terrace – overlooking the white mountain church of Fex Crasta – lies Sonne Fex, a place of peace and authenticity.
